We bought a park, or most would say a camp. But most of our 149 acres include lots of timber roads, streams, ponds, meadows and forests. I've already posted lots about our homes, as well as the lower level houses, ponds, streams and the river. Click here for lots more information. Today, I'm touring one of the timber roads so that I can determine where we want more work done and to select the best hiking for us and our visitors. The grounds are 1/5th the size of NYC's Central Park and offer all the amenities of a real country park and camp ground. Our Camp is right on Schroon River. It is an awesome country life. Many visitors and residents are also into fishing, rafting, outdoor camping and hunting as well. All of this together with our Camp and River Front offer beautiful county times. Today, Bruce and I rode one of the many trails up to a beaver pond and back. Along the way, some timber had to be cleared and Bruce also make temporary repairs on a bridge to allow us to use the 4 wheel drive in our exploits. The mountain stream seemed to parallel the path almost all the way. We also enjoyed seeing the clearings, ponds and meadows. Checkout my photos and/or the video which also includes some live video of our trip. The day began with Bruce doing some trimming and then we spent 2 hours in the wild. Hopefully, I'll be adding lots more posts as I myself plan to do lots more exploring.
