Time to Enjoy Life

Live to enjoy life, with family and those that we enjoy living it. Nature gives us the canvas to paint our picture, and we give it the color. Here we come to enjoy the fall of life with all the pretty colors that God has provided. We bought a farm on Schroon River Road right on the waterfront. This has been Paulina's Dream.

Our camp sits on 1/2 mile square and overlooks Schroon River. It's 149 acres with 4+ acres right on the river. There are 3 main levels, all of which are covered with trees and meadows. The property includes a running stream, with 3 natural ponds on the property itself. Lots of space to enjoy real peace and serenity with the full 4 season lifestyle. We are now expanding the streams and natural ponds to include a swim pool. Hopefully, this will enhance the natural woods and pastures. The carpenter, plumber and landscapers are now busy clearing and extending the roads, plateaus, and water ways to accommodate our wishes. Our little bridge in the front will be rebuilt with a wider walk and guard rails. While we will retain the retro look, it will be significantly expanded to make it more like the Friends Inn and include lots more adirondack style chairs, gardens and lawns for us and our toys.

The camp now includes 2 homes and numerous other buildings and structures. These will undergo substantial repairs and upgrades, before we consider our new home on the level just above the main site. The pool/spa will be located on the 2nd level, and the 1/2 mile meadow will be made accessible with our new road. Our log cutting will be minimal to keep the natural beauty on and around the site. This top level will be used for picnics, lawn games and sight seeing ... the river and Lake George.

The site is in the Adirondacks, in Warrensberg, NY near Boulton's Landing. Just up the road about a mile is the Lake George RV Resort with all of the summer and winter amenities. The camp tried (just prior to us to purchase) our land when it came on the market at the end of April, with a full list price offer .. which didn't happen. Fortunately, there loss was our gain.

Time to eat, sleep and play! We ate out a lot during our initial visit to see what we bought .. great restaurants too. Smoked meats, pizza, Ice Cream, burgers and more. Every place is near our camp and open all year round.

We will live the simple life here, and spend our days singing in the sunshine and playing along the water's edge. Lots of solitude for thinking and for remembering better times.

We have the home filled with lots of treasures and memories. Now, we have the home to play as we did as children. Since we were staying temporarily at the Friends Lake Inn, we got lots of time to see the surrounding area as well as the short trip to Schenectady and Albany on the way back to Tucson, AZ
