Some thoughts remembering the opening from the movie "Pretty Woman" .. Well, our dream is to live out our years on Green River in the Adirondacks. Living the easy life, shopping at the local Farmer's Market and some Antique stores for hidden treasures to decorate our home, and to explore lots of new adventures and lots of dining out.
Bought a 149 acre timber farm, with 4 acres on Schroon River. We'll be hiking and exploring the mountains, enjoying the outdoors and spending time on Schroon River.
My latest favorite tune, so appropriate for our upcoming adventures at River Road. I always loved the song and group, but now it haunts my dreams. Wonderful imagery going thru my mind! 'll be doing a new video titled "Comeback Special", and including lots of Creedence Clearwater tunes together with lots of new photos of Paulina Cortes-De Lorenzo, Lucky and I walking along our "Green River".
Hope to do some "cloud busting" along the Schroon River too, we have a beach with 4 acres on the river here!
Time to Settle
Paulina's Place
We've had a wonderful life, and it continues to get even better. Paulina and I have spent a lifetime taking care of business, and more important, building our life and family. We're happy and proud of our accomplishments and joy we've tried to bring into our world.
We've had time and the opportunity to realize almost all of our dreams. Now, having the time and resources to pursue our golden years, we're moving on. Son John is well on his way to building his life and future, as well as enjoying the life we built in Tucson. Son John will now be responsible for the business and home in Tucson, while Paulina and I setup for our real retirement.
Although recent times have been stressful, my surgery has gone well and we're now ready for some real easy living. Paulina, Lucky and I are heading to the Adirondacks for a 4 season, mountain life and a much simpler life. Gone are the hosting and party days, and now we'll be living a life of leisure and enjoying nature.
We're still hoping to enjoy many more family times, but our daily life will be filled with more of the great outdoors. We will be leaving the responsibility of Tucson for a much more simple, and relaxing Adirondack life.
Bringing Our Basic Necessities East, Us and Some Toys
We're bringing some of the basics with us, like our computers and libraries as well as our passion for bbq and dining out. Hey, I will also be setting up my ball machine and net for some fun too.
As in the past, I'll continue to do our daily photo journal. This will include our home and dining out adventures as well aa the many new mountain exploits. Son John will be driving with Paulina in October, while Lucky and I pack and move some basics. We're hoping son John will enjoy spending some time with us too.
Setting Up Camp
The setting will be lots different than it is in Tucson, but the goal is the same. Enjoy home and BBQ. I'm including here some favorite shows of our home cooking in Tucson, and later adding some similar sights from River Road.
We bought our new place in July and closed on it in August. It was a time of seeing some wonderful possibilities for us. And now we're anxious to experience it all. It will take us about 1+ years to see what if any changes we will want to make.
Our goal is simple, live and enjoy a new and simpler life. Although it's been fun, our hosting and party days are over. Age and health are now helping us see our future dreams. Little or no work, and lots of time to explore the mountains and restaurants.
Hoping to limit our efforts to living more of the good life, as long as God grants us time and health. Paulina, Lucky and I are moving on and taking our show on the road!
Great memories of our time at the Caldwell House restaurant, we'll be doing more of this.
Our site already includes lots of the possibilities ahead. Now, it's time to check it all out.
Some Thoughts
Although our surroundings will be very different, our tradition will continue. We, now and always, continue to thank God for all of our many blessings, and share our bounty with us and God's children. I'll be doing a special new show "Comeback Special" for our first Thanksgiving in our new home.
Our new home will continue to provide the background for our new and future Thanksgivings, God Bless Us all.
See memories of our last Thanksgiving in Tucson.
We'll be enjoying our place on River Road, but considering our options. While we hope to simply use the existing homes, it's possible we may want a new home on the top level. My thoughts are between 1800 and 3500 sq ft log home. We plan to wait 1+ years before deciding. 👫🐾🏞
