Looking forward to our upcoming adventures, and reflecting on all of our many blessings over the past 🤒 It's comforting to see us now retired and having the opportunity to realize the last of our dreams now being realized. First, and our biggest, is son John's graduation! We'll be celebrating together with his closest family and friends .. And, shortly thereafter, we all begin our next Chapter, for Paulina Cortes-De Lorenzo and I, it's more of sharing our time doing some real summer vacation. We're very excited in John's newly found freedom from school and in his ability to now pursue his life and dreams. We are all looking forward to enjoying our celebration and the ensuing "summer" with our many guests 😱🎉🍔🍺💃🐾👫🎭
Making Dreams Come True
Time to Open the Wine
No wine before it's time! Well, it's time to open the wine. We're ready for some new excitement .. especially as age and health slow us down. Paulina, John and I are ready to go go. We just enjoyed another day in paradise, amongst all we love. Paulina and I have awaited our Golden Years and the time to enjoy our life and accomplishments.
As we move to a more solitary and relaxing time, we hope to enjoy a real summer of love and adventure. Hey, it's just beginning, watch for more.
Graduation Day
Family first and only family has been the highest priority of Paulina and Me. Thought our life, we placed family above all else, with son John by our side throughout most of it. Today, we see the realization of son John's efforts to help us and plan for his future. Today, son John begins his real journey. We, the proud parents, enjoyed the University celebrations.
14 years in the making!
Son John's Testimonial
One of son John's teachers was given a very special and prestigious awards, which had been based on lots of testimonials. John's letter was especially selected and read to the audience. This was an especially precious moment amidst so many thoughts.
As Time Goes By
As John begins his life's journey, Paulina and I continue to enjoy our Golden Years. We expect to continue doing the things we now do, but slowing down as time goes by. Meanwhile, John's journey will (as it does for everyone) evolve in ways perhaps different then now envisioned. Hopefully, he will continue to enjoy success, health and long life.
Living the Life You Love
Garden Party
Food, fun and friends .. no speeches or awards. We hosted a garden party at Brandi Fenton Memorial Park to celebrate, many of son John's classmates will be off and this was a last chance to relax and enjoy the day together. They, as well as all of John's close friends, enjoyed the food, fun and time together. Thanks to all, including Laura, Gabriel and Ron .. our caterers (Blue House Caterers), who made today special.
Just good friends enjoying it all
The Times, They are a Changing
John E De Lorenzo and his partners have been working hard over the past year to get their new business interests going and it's almost time to launch. His long term friends and partners, Peter Ta .. Jeff Hursh .. and Gus Montiel have been with him on his upcoming adventures. Thanks for all the well wishes, as we too wish him health and success
Time to pause and celebrate
Something Old, Something New
As both a family partner and successor Trustee of our family's business and home, John will continue. Although John is the 4th generation of a real estate and investment family, he is expanding the horizon. Many have viewed our legacy, and more will view John's new exploits as they evolve. We're proud of our past, and looking forward to John's new exploits.
John also inherited my Dad's home in NYC, so we expect he will be spending time there somewhere down the road. However, I don't expect this to happen any time soon. Besides our homes in Tucson and NY, and business, we also have our Mausoleum in NY, which John will be responsible to maintain.
It's been a long time coming, some family plans delayed the realization of his dreams. These are now happening. A little history, son John E De Lorenzofound our beloved home and helped setup and then invested with us in our real estate and financial investments serving as our "Managing Partner". After we bought our home, John worked as the General Contractor on all the many projects before we moved to our home. Even as he attended school, with all of our activities, he worked at the U of A as an Ambassador for the newer students and as a lab assistant for a prestigious scientist while attending his classes. John, together with some close friends, have already begun to implement their personal business dreams. Me, and my Italian family (all long gone) would be especially proud of son John's 2 degrees, with honors in Italian as he also attained a BS in Chemistry! Even at his young age, he has fulfilled Paulina Cortes-De Lorenzo and my dreams, truly a son in whom we are well pleased. This slide show has already gotten about 400 views on our site, but it's a story worth showing again at this momentous time in John's young life. Thanks for being there, son!
