We're still enjoying our life and times, but not much new is happening. Lots of family fun and bbq, as well as some dining out!
I've been sharing old memories for some time now, and have about 1,300 followers. This includes lots of old (and some new) photos and videos.
Since there's little new in our life, I'll begin to share lots more on my website.
Besides having a family bbq at home, we'll be heading back to a favorite restaurant .. Takamatsu. Checkout some fond memories.
And watch for lots more "Memories of This Day"
Life has moved at lightning speed and has enabled me to fulfill my dreams
Even thou age is slowing us down, we have a wonderful and relaxing world left, including exciting memories to enjoy
Downsizing, and free of the worries of maintaining our French Chateau. This allows us to enjoy the simple life on the road as well as both homes in Tucson and The Adirondacks.
Ribs, after all the rest "Mama's are still the best!
I, like most, enjoy doing the traditional smoked ribs on my Primo. However, Paulina's oven baked ribs are clearly the Blue Ribbon of Ribs!
In days gone by, we vacationed in Summer .. including Scottsdale, AZ .. Alaska as well as our summer home in the Adirondacks .. and we will again in coming years! Sweet Memories.
Finally, we've setup our Little House on the Prairie. Like most, we married, bought the big house and spent time with our family and friends .. sharing our blessings and memories.
Now, after 3 years we sold the big house and have downsized our home .. but not our life. Today, we celebrate lots of memories of our times thru the years and look forward to enjoying the easy living.
Checkout our memories and times with family and friends.
Independence, Home At Last
We're enjoying our Golden Years, home and family!
As you may know, our life was filled with lots of activities since January when we sold our home. In fact, we have now moved twice and finally settled into our new world.
Over this period, I included lots of photos and videos of our busy times. This included our homes, neighborhood and spring, as well as our BBQ kickoff.
Since last Summer and our Big Horn Fire, life has changed a lot.
Today, we're just living life and doing lots of reading, music, walking, bbq, dining out and local fun stuff. Check out my updates to Smokey John's Cafe (our grilling adventures).
Frankly, I don't expect much new until our year end holidays.
We're already enjoying lots of Summer Time at home, and looking for My Father's Day family celebration.
Living life on the edge.
First, I want to pay my respect to my Dad, who passed in 2010. I will always love him and all he did for our family. (RIP). Memories to last a life time.
We just celebrated Mother's Day, and I'm already excited! Just as Paulina selected her favorite fish restaurant, I'm selecting my favorite Persian restaurant to celebrate Father's Day (June 21st). We've celebrated many anniversaries dining out, and we'll be returning again. Besides the memories, I love the cuisine.
Although the quarantine kept us in last year, we're vaccinated and roaring to head out this year! Checkout some fond memories of days gone by, but not forgotten.
Paulina Cortes-De Lorenzo and I meet, fall in love and bring our pride and joy son
John E De Lorenzo into our blessed life in 1984. And since then, we've enjoyed lots of memorable times.
Happy Mother’s Day
We'll be dining out, like most, and celebrating Mama's Special Day. Watch for updates.

We celebrate Memorial Day 2021
Having moved on April 3rd, we're into Spring and easy living.
Springtime and the promise of Summer. This month I begin a retrospective look at our life over the past 40 years.
Like most, our early days were filled with work, family and striving to succeed. And, as time passed, life just got busier and busier.
Senior living now has brought us to a much quieter and simpler life, and the time to enjoy it all.
Watch for our May Photo album for more about our current goings and doings, and meanwhile join us in our memories of family times and dreams along the way!
Relocated to Tucson, 1999
We lived in Manhattan from 1982 to 1999, then headed west for a home and a better life!
Summer begins with Mother's Day, and we'll be dining out again to celebrate! And what's more important, we're heading out .. no cooking or cleanup for Mama.
Even thou most of our time is now spent at home, we'll also be back doing lots of the same Summertime Fun stuff. Some dinging out and some time at our Ventena Canyon Country Club.
Closed on April 1st, moving April 3rd. Checkout my Monthly Photo Journal for lots more sightings. With all of our big life changes over the past several month, we're now ready to live the "retired life".. Not much to do, but all day to do it!
We Make The Move
We purchased our Summer Home in the Adirondacks back in 2015, and realized we really enjoyed the simple life. After returning to Tucson, we decided to downsize our home in Tucson but it took years to accomplish.
The goal was to spend lots more time enjoying the great outdoors and the foods we liked, with our efforts spent on reading, cooking, photography and simply relaxing rather than maintaining our 10,000 square foot home and estate. It took years to sell our home and find the kind of home that would accommodate our needs.
We moved on Saturday, April 3rd .. just in time for Easter and Paulina's birthday. And we're really excited to settle down and enjoy our Spring and Summer.
We celebrated Paulina's Birthday on Easter Sunday at Wild Garlic.
Fast Living in the Slow Lane
Our needs have changed now that we're Seniors and Empty Nesters. And so, we're now adopting our life and home to our age and interests.
Now it's mostly slow living at home with dining out and summer home cooked meals. And, we're already looking into "Prepared Meals" to further simplify our daily living!
The older we get the more easy living we want, now that we're getting settled in we find that we're still wanting to make life easier and less chore driven. Frankly, the only thing left is shopping, and meal preparation. Although we still enjoy making some of our favorite dishes, we're thinking about "fast food" (lol).
And so, we'll be adding another dimension to our dining options .. Meal Preparation Delivery too!
Born Free, Live Free
Having settled into our new home, we're set to enjoy living the life we love! Reading and music, while we relax and enjoy the simple life.
