We celebrate Memorial Day 2021 Having moved on April 3rd, we're into Spring and easy living. Springtime and the promise of Summer. This month I begin a retrospective look at our life over the past 40 years. Like most, our early days were filled with work, family and striving to succeed. And, as time passed, life just got busier and busier. Senior living now has brought us to a much quieter and simpler life, and the time to enjoy it all. Watch for our May Photo album for more about our current goings and doings, and meanwhile join us in our memories of family times and dreams along the way! Relocated to Tucson, 1999We lived in Manhattan from 1982 to 1999, then headed west for a home and a better life! Summertime 2021Summer begins with Mother's Day, and we'll be dining out again to celebrate! And what's more important, we're heading out .. no cooking or cleanup for Mama. Even thou most of our time is now spent at home, we'll also be back doing lots of the same Summertime Fun stuff. Some dinging out and some time at our Ventena Canyon Country Club. Closed on April 1st, moving April 3rd. Checkout my Monthly Photo Journal for lots more sightings. With all of our big life changes over the past several month, we're now ready to live the "retired life".. Not much to do, but all day to do it! We Make The MoveWe purchased our Summer Home in the Adirondacks back in 2015, and realized we really enjoyed the simple life. After returning to Tucson, we decided to downsize our home in Tucson but it took years to accomplish. The goal was to spend lots more time enjoying the great outdoors and the foods we liked, with our efforts spent on reading, cooking, photography and simply relaxing rather than maintaining our 10,000 square foot home and estate. It took years to sell our home and find the kind of home that would accommodate our needs. We moved on Saturday, April 3rd .. just in time for Easter and Paulina's birthday. And we're really excited to settle down and enjoy our Spring and Summer. We celebrated Paulina's Birthday on Easter Sunday at Wild Garlic. Fast Living in the Slow LaneOur needs have changed now that we're Seniors and Empty Nesters. And so, we're now adopting our life and home to our age and interests. Now it's mostly slow living at home with dining out and summer home cooked meals. And, we're already looking into "Prepared Meals" to further simplify our daily living! The older we get the more easy living we want, now that we're getting settled in we find that we're still wanting to make life easier and less chore driven. Frankly, the only thing left is shopping, and meal preparation. Although we still enjoy making some of our favorite dishes, we're thinking about "fast food" (lol). And so, we'll be adding another dimension to our dining options .. Meal Preparation Delivery too! Born Free, Live FreeHaving settled into our new home, we're set to enjoy living the life we love! Reading and music, while we relax and enjoy the simple life. |
