Like the movie "Under The Tuscan Sun", we too bought a villa to change our life! And now, after 10 years, we finally find ourselves leaving our old life behind.

And, while we initially felt the loss of our guests, travel, dining out and social events, we’ve come around 180 degrees, and simply love it all. Life for us is now at it’s best.

​Besides enjoying our country style living, Paulina’s been cooking up a storm ....While I’m watching today’s flic, Mama’s stewing up some beef for tonight.

Good morning July, this month Paulina Cortes-De Lorenzo and Da Boys will be working on Mama’s “Field of Dreams”.

This includes converting our lawn, as well as lots of cleanup all around our property! 🚧🤦🏻‍♀️🐶🤠🍷

We're enjoying our holiday weekend, and there's plenty of leftovers .. sun, food and the great outdoors!  Paulina made lots of Carne Asada and Italian sausages (with all the trimmings)  so we could enjoy our time.

As usual, our Snowbirds (30% of Tucsonans) have gone to their 2nd home. So, life really slows down until their return in November!

We're missing our dining out, as well as Paulina's Place in the Adirondacks .. but we're planning on doing it all again!

Still in quarantine, but hopeful for the future!

Had lunch with Da Kids, and then we all went to tour the real estate projects now in progress. First, we toured a property now being listed and a property just sold. Then, we toured a property in development and a property just beginning.

Even thou I'm trying to remain in self quarantine, it was just too tempting to get out and see what's happening in the world.  Sadly, our Bighorn fires were still burning.

I’m suspending all of my Facebook posts indefinitely. We, and Da Kids, are still Socially Distancing ourselves. And as a result, there really won’t be much new happening 🤷🏼🗓
I will continue my photography, as well as my photo journal and videos on our website for those who enjoy our productions.

It's been 10 years since I began my FaceBook and Website endeavors. Now, it's time to further simplify these efforts.

Beginning in July, I'll be doing a brief summary of the month's adventures and our status. And, I'll be using the monthly update to link to the month's photo journal and any new slideshows. ⛰👩‍❤️‍👨🐶☕️

Besides the pandemic, depression, social unrest, we're now experiencing a fire caused by lightning that has already consumed 42, 000 acres and is still far from being contained.

However, the fire that was above us has moved on and up!  We're back to living life as best we can during these trying times.

In past years, we commemorate Memorial Day for all veterans. Today, I would add those effected by the Pandemic and related world depression!

Today, we've lost 95,000 from the pandemic in the USA alone and we're experiencing 40 million jobless.  Moreover, a vaccine is not expected until 2021 at the earliest.

Now on the eve of our holiday and Summer, I’m looking forward to Mama’s ribs and more fun in the sun.  Hopefully, if you’re going out, you’ll wear your mask and maintain a safe distance for everyone’s sake! We’re staying in self quarantine for the duration and not taking any chances! 

Hope for the best, plan for the worst. Now, it's time to focus on family and home life. Think about home cooking, diet and exercise and using your time for self benefit, i.e., entertainment, saving, and most important living!

Let us remember to pray for the world with regard to the pandemic and depression with which we are now faced.

Summer kicks off with our Pool and BBQ Party, we enjoyed the days leading up to it as well as the day itself. Checkout some fond memories.

Way back in the last Depression, America got out and went to the movies! It was a way of escape. As a kid, I did the Saturday matinee .. 2 movies  and 5 cartoons! Planning on doing a double feature for the holiday weekend ! With lots of Saturday Matinees.

​Life in the Outback is fun, but it doesn't take all day! 

Need sweets or treats .. Think take out, or make it at home!

As the saying goes "Life's a Beach", and I do my best to live up to it. Paulina Cortes-De Lorenzo, Mr Lucky and I enjoy our home and family times.

Despite the Social Isolation, we try to make the best of it all .. and each other. And, it's taken 75 years to make it right. Life's too short not to "make it what you want". Sadly, we lose too many friends and family who have passed or simply moved on. Today marks the 10th anniversary of my Dad's passing, and I still miss him.

Be happy, be positive .. Not everyone will agree with you, get rid of them .. you really don't need them. it's your life, eh! There's too many cynical, negative, critical, insulting people and lots of good, sincere well meaning other people in the world.

Life under the threat of the Corona Virus has greatly effected everyone, and we (like most) are in Social Isolation. With everyone's lives home based, there's really little to chat about. No more hosting, dining out or travel.

Even my family and friends on FaceBook have little to say or show other than the usual political and economic issues. I'll be greatly limiting my FaceBook activity and watching lots more news, i.e., Corona Virus, Economy, Politics, and local happenings.

And so, I'm taking a new approach to my online activities. First, I'll be creating a new photo album each month and adding new photos throughout the month. Anyone wishing to see our quiet life and times (now mostly nature and home photos) can keep up to date whenever they want. The Current Album is entitled Til The End of May 2020  I'll be adding a new link for my June Photos.

Second, I'll be using my photos to create my Photo Parades, the Current YouTube Playlist is 2020, A Better Place

My Next web update is scheduled for June! Meanwhile, stay the course .. stay safe, stay home!

I’ve been a busy little beaver posting lots about our Social Isolation, but there won’t be anything new!  Same old BBQ and Spa life.

In the past, I focused our web updates on our Social Doings, but life has now changed in that we're all under Social Isolation. No dining out, No travel or Social Gatherings!  All that's left is music, movies and talking to the animals!

My ongoing web updates will change to more about our home adventures in the Outback.

And So, my new focus will be on Nature with lots of photos and videos of our exploits in the Outback and our immediate surrondings. Paulina and I are avid photography and Nature fanatics (lol).

Problems are sometimes an opportunity! Social Distancing and Life at home with Family may simply be “the better way” 🎟👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🐶🥰

Although I hadn't planned on doing any more updates until July, there's simple too much happening. To begin with, it's great having Family home now. And, I really believe that we can all stay the course by keeping the faith and staying home (alive).

like us, many people are searching for a place to relocate to and live a new type of lifestyle. We searched for places and decided to relocate to Tucson. Shortly, we'll be advertising our home for sale in areas outside of Tucson.

​It’s been a beautiful First Quarter 2020, except for the Corona Virus 🦠 However, with Social Distancing, all of our Dining Out and Home Gatherings have been cancelled! 😔

Like most, we've got Cabin Fever but our life for the most part has really been a better place. Age and health (especially for Mr Lucky) have slowed us down over the past years!
Even thou life has slowed down, I'll be adding some more .. mainly nature and our gardens. Frankly, with our hosting, travel and dining out days gone, there really won't be much new. Check it out for memories of our year 💝

Our neighbor's guests were out hiking on the mountains in our Outback on Easter, wonderful day .. like most days!

Age and circumstances have brought us full circle! Years ago, we hosted lots of gatherings with family and friends and dined out lots. Now, the world is a new place and we're really adopting to it all .. with little or no choice anyhow!  Frankly, no guests, less work!

Headed up to our Desert Oasis to celebrate Christmas and our Anniversary, 1/2 hour of beautiful times ..Sweet, sweet memories of days gone by, but not forgotten! 💝💝

Paulina and I have reached 2 milestones, that is age 75 and 38 years together.  Frankly, we're doing our best to enjoy our Golden Years.

Paulina and I having had previous marriages, we really appreciate the opportunity to have a 2nd bite at the apple.

We're enjoying our blessings and look forward to whatever comes next!

Springtime in the Rockies, and we're out hiking around our community. I took 100 + photos and videos during our outing. Our journey took us down about 1 mile passing the Casitas, Country Club and Townhomes just below our home.

​The weather was perfect and we enjoyed it all.

Paulina, I, son John and Sunnie are all experienced cooks .. so, meals are being circulated between us. Even our companion, Mr Lucky, is loving us all sharing more home time.  Son John is doing much of his work from home too!

Besides our home and grounds, we've got our libraries (movies, books, music and online favorites). 

We met on March 28, 1982 and we've been happy together.  Son John and Sunnie prepared a BBQ to celebrate our anniversary.

Paulina and I are now 75, and we often reminiscing about our life and times, especially those loved ones that have passed on. 

Coming on April 4th, it's Paulina's 75th birthday. Watch for more photos and videos.

Spring is in the air. Just celebrated my birthday, and we're ready for Paulina's Birthday on April 4th.

It's also our Anniversary time, and we've been together since March 29, 1982.

Over recent years, I had some health problems but diet, exercise and lots of love have made life better. We're also looking forward to St Patricks Day, Our Anniversary, Easter and the coming Summer.

Like most others, we're taking precautions for the Corona Virus, and are doing our quarantine at home.  But, we truly are making the best of it all!

We’ll be doing lots of home cooking. Da Kids will be making a favorite (Bouillabaisse) for Mama’s birthday, as well as lots of happy meals!

As in years past, we're enjoying our family, home and the good times. It's time to get our blog setup for this year's exploits.

Most of this year will include photos and videos of our doings. Age is all about enjoying what we have and looking forward to what comes next.
